Health & Safety
Who should attend:
This course is aimed at health and social care workers – whether they are in the public or private sector. Participants are taught to spot Health & Safety risks to themselves, service users/clients and colleagues in their place of work. This includes understanding the effect of their action or inaction.
The course will include:
- An introduction to Health & Safety law
- Common causes of accidents and how to prevent them
- Manual handling risks and the principles of effective manual handling
- Electrical safety
- Preventing infections
- Fire safety
- Assessing risk
- Accident reporting
Course duration and assessment:
This training course is delivered as either a full or half day session and concludes with a written assessment of knowledge.
