Who should attend:
This course is aimed at health and social care workers and will enable learners to explore the legislation, policy and procedures that relate to the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and aims for learners to appreciate and develop a safeguarding culture.
The course will include:
- POVA and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA)
- Service users charter of rights
- Definition of abuse
- Types of abuse
- Recognising the signs and symptoms of abuse
- Responding to abuse and neglect
- Alerting and reporting
- Whistle blowing
Course duration and assessment:
This training course is available in a full day or half day format, both conclude with a written assessment of knowledge and successful candidates will receive a certificate of successful completion and achievement.
